LAWN SERVICE PROGRAM

The 5 Step Lawn Program, applied by BF&S Lawn, has served the lawn maintenance needs of lawns across NW Iowa since 1981. You can count on BF&S Lawn to apply fertilizer, weed and insect control at rates that will meet the varying needs of your lawn throughout the growing season.

Our goal is to prevent weeds and insect damage to your yard and keep your turf lush, healthy and green. You can have a beautiful lawn with the BF&S Lawn & Tree Service 5 Step Program.

SPRING

 An effective application which provides quick spring green-up, prevents crabgrass germination and reduces damage from bluegrass billbug.

EARLY SUMMER

 This step provides a moderate fertilizer application along with dandelion and broadleaf weed control.
SUMMER This step uses Insect control to block grubs from damaging your lawn and provides a booster of broadleaf weed control and low levels of fertilizer for slower growth of your lawn.
FALL The Fall application is the BEST time of year to apply a higher level of fertilizer along with broadleaf weed control!

LATE
FALL

 Step 5 contains balanced liquid fertilizer to promote root and rhizome growth. Grass plants overwinter in healthy condition and spring regrowth begins quickly.

LAWN CULTIVATION  - AERATION

Small cores of thatch and soil are mechanically pulled from your lawn. Tiny Reservoirs are created so air, water and fertilizer can enter the root zone. Deeper root growth and greener, thicker turf will result.

TREE SERVICE

Tree and shrub spraying
 An effective and economical treatment for prevention of damage from insects or diseases. Certified technicians apply to the foliage of your trees and shrubs using a special pumping system for tree spraying.


Mauget Tree Injection 
 Mauget Tree Injection is scientific and effective tree care. Mauget Micro Injection tree capsules are used to inject liquid fertilizer, fungicide, antibiotics or insecticide directly into trees' sap-streams. This process bypasses the roots and provides immediate help to problem trees.
